On the move!

My family and I are up for orders, well actually we have them and will be moving to the great state of Texas! I've never lived in Texas, and surprisingly have never visited there either for that matter.. Like with any move in the military, it's all what you make it to be, so this should be a new fun filled adventure for my little family!

On the sewing front I have, or just started to sew my V-day dress shhh! Don't even say it lol! But to my defense my entire household excluding the hubby was sick with the flu all last week, so that meant no sewing going on here...I am hoping to get this little dressed whipped by tomorrow which is V-day and then my B-day the most important for us ladies! Well, just wanted to stop in quickly, but hopefully this week I  will have garment to post! Be blessed Divas!

  1. Hi there, I've been to San Angelo, San Antonio, and Dallas. I had a great time visiting them all! The American Sewing Guild's headquarters is in Houston!

Hope you have a great Valentine's Day and a wonderful birthday!

  2. Before we got stationed here 8 years ago I had only been for basic training and tech school...hence I was not in any hurry to return. Surprisingly, it has turned out to be a wonderful assignment for us and we have shockingly decided to retire here. Luckily we are located close to the DFW metroplex and that has made a huge difference for us. Have a great B-Day!

  4. So are you excited about moving back to the states? And when do you return? I think it's cool that you will be back on the same continent again as most of us crazy sewing people!

  6. I hope your move goes well Candice! My dad is a retired army man, and I remember the excitement of picking up, moving, and starting anew! I still sometimes turn to the hubby and say, "Wanna go visit somewhere new?" That's the only way I can satisfy my need for variety since I don't move every 4 years anymore!! LOL! Happy birthday to you, and I know your dress will be perfect ; )
