Glad to be back in the U.S.A!

My family and I are now back stateside, and it's great to be back!! Japan was definitely a great experience for my family especially having had the chance to live there for these past four years. However, I am glad to be back, but I said that already, huh? LOL..  We have been in Texas for about a month now and we are finally getting settled into our new home, and I must say, so far Texas is winning me over. I just want to thank everyone for your prayers and well wishes for my family and I.

I don't even know where to begin, seeing as so much has transpired since my last post in July shhhh.... I have an excuse! I was only moving cross country,so cut a Diva some slack lol.. Although I missed the support of all you terribly, the sewing community is phenomenal, it truly is. Now, that I'm getting all misty eyed and sappy :) I will try to you fill you in with what I've been up too. First I've enrolled in college to finish my degree in Social Work, yes, I am getting what's mine now and I'm so excited! That's another post all in itself.

I also visited on my second day here my first trip to Hancock's fabric EVER! They were also having a .99 cent pattern sale, and I almost spazzed the heck out in there. I couldn't get patterns at that price online while in Japan, and certainly not Simplicity! Let's just say I was one happy lady. I saw that there was a 10 pattern hold per customer, but this spazzed out Diva was ready to employ my three year old my poor, sweet, understanding husband and my six year old to get patterns for me. Happily to the likes of my men folk that didn't have to take place. However, I let them know, be ready because it's just that serious LOL...

Ummm...What else? Oh yeah, I have my on sewing space now, no longer sharing my space with the workout/ office area.. I am now located in the laundry area, but hey, that works for me! It's big and spacious and I even have a built in shelf space for my stash *winning*.. I hate to leave you with a picture less post so I'll include a few when my family came to visit two weeks ago....

Sissy and I trying to keep cool in this Texas heat, and yes I
am bending down because my big sis is beyond short :)

On the river walk with my Honey!

Well lovelies that's all for now, hopefully my sewing machine will hurry up and get here already! This lady is ready to sew! It's great to be back, wow! Can't believe how much I missed blogging, seriously! Well anyhoo you ladies enjoy the rest of your week! Be blessed and nothin' less and continue to stay fearlessly fierce!

  6. Welcome baaaaack. I have even just sewed something, I know, fall down in shock. I seem to have got my sewing mojo back. Only sewing simple things, too scared to make tops yet hehe. Need to get myself on another sewing course. OMG patterns for 99c I would be like a woman posessed. Am addicted to patterns even if I don't sew much hehe. Glad you are enjoying being back in the US.
