What's on my sewing table!

I have so many projects that I would like to get to, that it almost is overwhelming in a sense. Do you ever get overwhelmed by the things that you want to make? It's like I don't know what to get to first...
I think I have narrowed my next project down to M6611, this jacket is really trending right now which I just found out is refered to as a "cascading jacket"...You learn something new everyday they say..

You want to know the retail price of this jacket? 695.00 now that is cray-cray! Thank God for the ability to sew!
Although, I secretly wish I had leather fabric, so that the sleeves and the peplum could be leather on the M6611. I think I just really need something leather, anything, hmmmm... the wheels are starting to turn lol.. However, back to M6611, I've read the reviews on this pattern and altered the pattern accordingly. I removed some of the ease from the sleeve cap; which I learned how to do reading "Gertie's new book"..Please and thank you! Gertie you rock girl in my book, pun intended HA! I also, added about 1 1/2 inches to the body pieces of the jacket for a little extra length, ahhh, the beauty in sewing!
I don't know, I'm just really feeling the itch to sew a jacket of some sorts, not necessarily a coat, or do any heavy tailoring, but a simple jacket. I enjoyed the process so much when I made my first jacket earlier this year. That I thought it would be great for a refresher to refine somethings if you will...Also, I would love to try my hand at making some type of fur jacket thing..You all know my love, obsession with leopard print. I just so happen to have about 2 1/2 yards of faux leopard print that I purchased from last year.  I really am loving this jacket too, decisions, decisions ijs...
I guess, I better get back to sewing! I hope to be done with M6611 this weekend, who am I kidding lol! Hopefully I can be done by next week, we shall see...As always, Be blessed and nothin' less and continue to stay fearlessly fierce!

  1. I know exactly how you feel - I often have hundreds of projects spinning in my head at one time. Almost enough to make me hyperventilate. Love the jacket ideas that you have.

    1. Thanks Faye! I'm hoping the jacket I'm working on now, works out great!

  2. Can't wait to see your finished project. I am out of town so no sewing for me this weekend, but I have several projects waiting for me. Have a great weekend.

    1. Thanks Melanie! You have a great weekend also....

  3. I was at Macy's today and I saw a very cute cascade jacket made from a Chanel-type boucle. THe edges were raw, and it had a few Chanel details. It was a very cool interpretation.
    Enjoy your weekend!

    1. I'm really digging the cascade type jackets right now, hope this pattern M6611 will work out for me...You have a wonderful weekend also, thanks Lynne!

  4. Ah, yes, I know the feeling well! I mean, being overwhelmed by the possible-projects list. It only gets longer, and about 95% of it I never get around to, because there isn't time.

The jacket looks really cool. I like it a lot.

    1. Alice,I'm trying to be a good girl and finish this jacket before starting a new project lol..I hope the jacket comes out cool, thanks for stopping by..
